Thriving Junior Golf Program in Sylvan Lake
Driven by the strong desire to assist in the development of our youth, Lakewood Golf Resort has created a safe, interactive, fun, and educational Junior Golf Program in an atmosphere for children and teens to enjoy. Today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow! It is our responsibility to ensure they are ready to meet the challenge!
The game of golf and the tradition it was built on, is instrumental in teaching our children some of life’s valuable lessons. Honesty, integrity, respect, dedication, goal setting, the value of hard work, confidence, and social skills are a just few. It is our belief that our Junior Golf Program will assist your kids in developing these skills while creating a fun and dynamic atmosphere for them to grow in. Program content includes golf course etiquette and introduction to the rules of golf, basic swing fundamentals, putting, chipping, and pitching.
The success of any program relies heavily on its volunteer base, and we are no different. The Lakewood executive committee is looking for volunteers to help assist in many ways from development to walkers and drivers. Events overview:
- 3 x 1 hr Group Lessons – Jun 3, 10, & 17
- 2 x Two day Golf Camps – Jul 8 & 9 and Aug 19 & 20 (2 hrs each day)
- Weekly Play Days – Jul 9, 16, 23, 30 Aug 13 & 20
- Parent-Child Golf Tournament *Additional Fee
- Personalized One on One training for Advanced Juniors
- Medals and Certificate of completion for all competitors
